My Studio

Current work

On my easel at present is a series of six paintings representing six epochs of Irish optics and astronomy, from the ancient optics and spirals at Newgrange to the most recent research in quantum and astrophysics.

I am also exploring some artforms to capture fleeting expressions and gestures in dynamic movement. This has been through sketches with aerial performances in Duffy’s Circus and the Taking Flight studio.

All this work is underpinned by regular figure and portrait drawing and painting sessions at the studio, at Phibsborough Life Drawing and at the United Arts Club.
